My friends came over for a playdate today. Look at all the foods that my Omas cooked for us!!!

It was such a nice day. We played with bubbles and on the pond outside.

Daddy and I also picked peonies for mommy since she can't go outside yet.

My Birth Story

Hello guys!!! Just want to let you know my birth story:

Morning, the 24th: Mommy felt she's going to give birth soon

Noon: The whole family went to Asian Festival. Mommy insisted to go because she was craving satay.

4 pm: We went to Jacelyn's party. Mommy already had contractions every 10 minutes. The contractions got stronger during the party. Finally, mommy asked daddy to take her to the hospital. So they took my sister home and went straight to the hospital.

Around 7 pm: Arrived at the hospital. Mommy had to fill out some forms. She can barely remember her name at this point. They went to triage and found out that mommy already 5 cm dilated. After that, I heard mommy screaming every 5 minutes.

8.15 pm: Finally, mommy got epidural!!! Mommy and daddy can finally fell asleep.

3.00 am: Mommy already 10 cm dilated, but she still have to wait until I came down further

4.00 am: Mommy can start pushing. After about 3 pushes, the nurses told mommy to stop because she can already see my crown and we still have to wait Dr. Jenkins

4.20 am: Dr. Jenkins came and saved the day! After 1 more push, my heart rate started to drop a little bit, so Dr. Jenkins helped mommy with a vaccuum.

4.34 am: Hello world! I was born exactly on my due date (the 25th). I weighs 8 lbs, 10 ounces (4 kg) and 20 inches (50.8 cm) tall. Unlike my sister, I have a lot of hair, even on my back!!! Mommy thinks I look like Akiu Reza.

Jocelyn's Birthday Party

After the Asian festival, we went to Jocelyn's birthday party. I finally get to meet my playdate friends again. But in the middle of the party, mommy started to get contractions, so we had to leave early. I guess my baby brother wanted to taste Auntie Shien's yummy cupcakes too!!!

Uncle Jerry's Birthday

We went to Genji to celebrate uncle Jerry's birthday. The chef cooked right in front of us. I was clapping the whole night watching him. It was fun!! Happy birthday Uncle Jerry!!!

Meet my other Opa and Oma!!! They are actually mommy's uncle and aunt. They will stay with us for a couple of months to help taking care of me and my brother.

Picking Up Oma and Opa

We went to the airport to pick up my Oma and Opa today. They flew 30 hrs from Indonesia just to see me and my baby brother. Isn't that awesome? I recognized them right away. I wanted to run past the security gate to give them a hug.

Delaware Art Festival

Glenn and his theatre class performed at Delaware Art Festival today, so of course I must watch him!!

They performed pinocchio. He played the donkey and the whale!!!



After the performance, we sat in the wagon together while he fed me funnel cakes. So romantic...

Big Girl's Room

Since I'm a big girl now, I don't need to sleep in the crib anymore. I have a big girl's bed in my room. I still don't want to sleep alone though, so daddy will sleep with me while mommy sleep with my brother.

My Nursery

My nursery is finally ready. Mommy wishes I can come out soon to enjoy it. But I still like my old room (mommy's belly) better. It's cozy and the room service is better!

Our Names

Mommy and daddy had a hard time finding a good name for me. Daddy wanted to named me Lee Roy Cheung (no way!), but after a lot of arguing, they finally agreed on Gavin Elroy Cheung. Gavin means white hawk and Elroy means the king. So that makes me king of the hawk? Cool…

As for my sister, her name Abigail means the joy of the father, which is so fitting since she’s totally a daddy’s girl. Her middle name Ariella means the Lion of God, because she’s a Leo.

In other news, mommy feels she's going to finally meet me this weekend. Hmmm.... we'll see about that!!!
