Santa's Little Helper

Santa told me he needs an extra elf this Christmas. So I put on my elf outfit to help him wrap the presents.

Our Busy Weekend

Last weekend, we went to First Watch for breakfast. Mommy and I wore matching vest.

It was very cold, so I put on my winter gear to go to our family's favorite store, Costco!!!

Daddy had to work on Saturday and Sunday, so while my brother stayed at grandma's, I got to do girly stuff with mommy. First, we went to Polaris Mall for shoe shopping. I refused to wear boots this winter, mommy kept on buying them, but I flatly refused to even try them on. So the shoe shopping was a bust, but I had fun playing at the zoo area. After that, we had lunch at CPK. We shared the wild mushroom pizza. I ate all the mushrooms, so mommy actually just ate cheese pizza.

On Sunday, mommy and I went to church together. I was very good at the child care now. When mommy picked me up, I was just reading on the couch. After that, we went to Tuttle Mall to return the boots that we bought on Saturday. Told ya I hate boots!!!

As you can see, I'm getting more and more particular about what I wear. Took me a long time to choose an outfit. I also want to accessorize more now. I want to wear my sunglasses all the time, and if my shirt has a hoodie, I just have to wear it. Daddy thinks I'm becoming more and more like mommy!!!

We also baked an apple tart to surprise daddy. I helped mommy rolling the dough, slicing the apple (with a plastic knife) and brushing the apple with jams. Too bad we forgot to take pictures since we couldn't wait to dig in.

So that was our weekend. We had fun, but we really miss daddy.

Six Month Checkup

So yesterday was my six month checkup. My doctor was very glad to see me because I'm so mellow and happy!!! I just sat down by myself and let him examine me. The nurse said I look like a nine month old baby because I'm so big!!! I am 20.4 lbs and 28 inches tall, which put me in the 90th percentile. The doctor also said that I have reached most of the 7-8th month milestones!! Yup, I'm a genious!!!! I didn't cry at all during the one hour visit. I only cried when they gave me my shots!! (I got 4 shots! Ouch!!) Mom and dad are very proud of me because I'm such a brave boy.

Sleeping through the night

For the last several months, I've woken up at 11 a.m. and 5 a.m. Usually Mommy fed me and held me until I went back to sleep. But lately, everytime mommy or daddy want to put me down, I'll wake up immedietely. Mommy even had to sleep sitting down while holding me several time. So finally they decided to try the (mean) Ferber method and let me cried it out. It was hard!!! But last night, after exactly 17 minutes of crying, I finally gave up and slept from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. NON STOP!!! Mommy was very surprised when she looked at the clock in the morning!!! They sure hope I can do this every night!!!

Christmas Program

Our class performed a song for our church's Christmas program yesterday. I had a diva moment and change outfit three times before the show. I kept on saying, "No mommy, it's bad!!" at the outfits that mommy chose. Finally I agreed to wear this one:

I sat with my class and my teachers before and after the performance. Mom and dad were surprised to see me sitting quietly for so long.

We sang a song about baby Jesus and Mary. I mouthed the words and clapped with my friends.

My dai dai and my grandma watched me performed. Too bad my brother fell asleep during my performance. This is us before the show, posing with our gifts!!!

Mommy caught me trying to open the presents!!!
